Here is my most recent trial at texturing, I am also getting really into the lighting aspects of Maya.... who knew? I have decided that if I am offered a position via Siggraph to move and work in the states I am going to take it. I really am tired of living like a pauper. I was discussing this with Monika a couple days ago, I want to be able to purchase things that I like, without having to really worry about the money. I want to be able to own nice sheets and buy organic food not the cheapest in the grocery store...

Here is my newest endeavour. I am going to just jump right into my projects for the demo reel. I figure that I will learn things along the way. Here is the first idea, a street scene, (probably deco era, I want to have opposing scenes, one with a "slum" texturing style and the other with a more high society texturing feel....

recent assignments

Today I textured some of the building which I was supposed to do. My GOD it takes a long time. Hopefully with time, the process will speed up. The bump map and the texture map weren't lining up but it's because some of my settings were no matching up. I am fairly happy with the results. I will have to do the rest of the details soon...

This is one of my ideas for the t - shirts that Monika and I were thinking of doing, it's based on one of our jobs where we worked together...Because as you know when you work in retail, you really are just a tong...
Today we had to go back into Maya. I've built a very simple building so that I can then go back and texture it by using layered shaders and textures...I will post it tomorrow. Until then, these are the pieces that we were assigned to do. Basically, we had to paint in photoshop, from scratch some textures as close to real as we could manage. These are them.
